No human being is immune from the possibility of being involved in the criminal justice system, whether or not they have committed any act of misconduct.

Unlike other members of society however, the consequences for these people are more far reaching and severe when it comes to the membership of their professions.

This can be for something which can be quite minor and often is including crimes of shoplifting, domestic disorder or violence, minor assault, acts of alleged dishonesty. Of course it can also include allegations which are much more serious. It is likely to include disciplinary proceedings before the disciplinary body or appearance at criminal court. It is often the case that the lawyers who are recommended by the union or association of insurers for such professionals are not accustomed to conducting work of this nature in court. Many of these lawyers refer cases to us when they realise they are out of their depth. Accordingly, it is frequently the case that we are often asked to act for such individuals in all types of cases.
